Exploding yellow sun
Folded up in language,
In damage
A broken mirror reflection
Drop the illusion of direction
There's poetry in true events
Oblivion
At first it sounds just like a day dream
But there are holes in that painting
Where light could shine through
A full moon
But I'm here now
Just trying to forget about
The storyteller I always go to bed with
Shooting down
Negative thoughts
With more negative thoughts
And out on the street
For that split second
Where you forget where you are
And where you're going
Alien energy
Surrounded in sound
That doesn't mean anything
Machines
Oh to be
In the vastness
Surrendering
To what
To whom
Where

Into an artificial ocean
A salt water pool
In the backyard of a random Southern California home
It's night
And the pool light casts an unearthly glow
Swimming is an ornament of our nature
Water is the place where life began
Birds represent the desire for freedom
Angels are the ones with wings and the ones who understand
And all we do is stand around
Every once in a while
Go for a little swim
It's dim in the background of the memory
But you've got a subconscious submarine
It exists within the body you live in
It also exists in everything
I don't wanna be told what to do
I don't wanna be told what to think
Why don't you want us to tell you what to think?
Because deep down I just wanna be the one to discover
The missing link
Okay, I guess that makes sense
But water is to air as air is to the astral plane
Clean or stained
Easy or pained
Innocent or blamed
Sink or swim
